Gettin Big

The twins are getting so big and we are so proud of them and how well they are sleeping at night. Landon does two good 5 hour stretches now waking up just to eat and get changed and Sienna does two 4-5 hour stretches at night. We are all getting much better sleep and feeling well rested.
I know it's a bad habit but sometimes when I just need a little extra sleep in the morning I cave and but the babies in bed with me this is how I found them the other morning all sprawled out.
Landon practicing sitting up in his boppy leaned against the couch, he is getting quite good at sitting up and holding his head up. What a strong boy!

Landon looking very thoughtful in his swing.

Sienna has decided she does not like tummy time in the boppy nearly as much as Landon so we're really working on practicing holding her head up. She looks very tired after all her hard work.
Sienna looks like a deer in the headlights. But look how blue those eyes look.

a new toy

Landon and Sienna have been very awake and alert now in the late morning so we thought they needed something to entertain them a little bit. We just got a gift card to Target (thanks Uncle Pat and Aunt Joan) and thought we would try this baby einstein play mat. It has tons of stuff included with it including lights and sounds and lots of toys that detatch and can be used in other places. They have been using it to practice tummy time as well and really seem to like it.
Landon and Sienna all tuckered out after playing yesterday evening.
Landon and Sienna just seem mesmerized by this octopus that hangs down. Landon especially loves to bat at this rattle.

Just a few more pics

Landon snoozing in his boppy, it seems like I always get cute pictures of him there.
Sienna showing off her pretty new purple bow Grandma got for her.
Landon cuddling with Daddy

I don't get my camera out nearly often enough and I'm trying to get better at keeping it with me and keeping it charged so when I do get a cute picture of the kiddos I have to share.

Growing like weeds

Here are some updated pictures of the babies. They are getting so big Landon especially he has the cutest little rolls all over his arms and legs and the chubbiest cheeks. He is also getting heavy, well at least compared to petite Sienna.
Sienna sporting her bow even with her jammies, her friend Carlee taught her that it is always important to look cute :)
I'm not sure if I mentioned it before but Sienna has the most adorable birthmark. It is a bright red heart shaped birthmark on the left side of her tush. Her doctor called it an angel kiss and said it is likely to stay like that. Everyone says now she won't have to go and get a tattoo, I hope they're right. I hope it stays but I had something similar when I was little and it faded but mine was nowhere near as cute as hers.

Grandma Mayne has been trying to convince Sienna to go to college at her school in Texas and has been teaching her the hook'em horns sign. Sienna has gotten quite good at it but of course I think Texas is way too far away and am encouraging her to go to my school instead.
Landon just plain looking cute. He loves to lay on his tummy in the boppy and just look around. Pretty much anytime he's fussy if you put him on his tummy he quiets down. It took us a while to learn that trick.
We finally got the babies over to see Tanner's Grandma Mac and she had fun holding the babies.

1 Month old

I know every parent says this but I can't believe how fast they are growing and that they are already a month old. We went in for their 1 month check up and they are both growing like crazy. Sienna weighed 6 lbs 8 oz (3rd percentile) and was 20 1/2 inches long (25th-50th percentile) and her head circumference was 13 1/2 inches (3rd-10th percentile). Landon weighed 7 lbs 6 oz (5th percentile) and was also 20 1/2 inches long (10th-25th percentile) and his head circumference was 14 inches (10th percentile). They are having no problems and don't have to go back to the doctor for a whole month, yeah.
Landon snoozing in the boppy.
Sienna and Landon cuddleld up on the couch. She was not very happy that he was sleeping while she wanted to visit.
Sienna being very patient in her boppy so Mommy could get some housework done.
The twins in their "My twin did it" onesies. I thought I better get a picture of them wearing them before they outgrew them. They fit in very few of their premie clothes anymore.

Family fun

I know I haven't been very good about updating this last week but I have had a good excuse, we have had my cousins in from out of town and have been having way too much fun to have any time to sit home on the computer.
Josh lovin on Landon. He's so funny he comes up to us and says "I want to hold the boy" never Landon just "he boy":)
Tanner and Landon and Todd and Sienna. These guys are so great with babies.

Josh, Sienna, Mackenzie, Stacy and Landon. It was so nice to have so many extra hands to help out with babies we will definitely miss them when they go home.

Mackenzie and Landon. Macks was a great help holding, feeding and changing babies. We want her to stay and be our permanent babysitter.

4th of July fireworks

After a fun day at the park for the car show we went back to my parents house for a BBQ and fireworks.
Tanner and Mackenzie having fun with sparklers.

Mackenzie, Tanner and Todd had so much fun with the fireworks I think we will have to get some more so we can have more tank fights.

Josh wasn't too sure about the sparkler, he was afraid it was gonna get him so soon after this picture was taken he dropped it and spent most of the rest of the night just hangin on the swing with my mom and dad. He was so cute!

Grandpa and Landon. Landon ate and slept through the fireworks. Yes that is a pink bib, the boy has gotten used to wearing pink blankets and bibs if that's what is convenient. He's tough enough for pink!

Grandma, Sienna and Josh cuddling on the porch swing

4th of July car show

We had a great time on the 4th of July. We started the day by going to the annual car show in the park and as you can see the guys did well each taking home an award.

Tanner, Dad Mayne, and Dad Wing
Sienna in her adorable 4th of July outfit. She had 3 but didn't have any explosions that day so she only got to wear the one (darn it)!
Somehow I don't have a close up of Landon in his. I'll have to keep working on keeping things even with these twins :)
The 4 of us with our 70 Chevelle convertible. Unfortunately we can't fit carseats in it so we didn't get to go for a ride, can't wait for forward facing seats.
