1 year pics

It is hard to believe that the twins will be turning 1 next week. They have grown and changed so much over the last 12 months and have truly become their own little people. Here are just a few of their 1 year pictures. We are busy planning their party and gathering supplies and can't wait to celebrate with family and friends.
We only got 2 of them together and neither was very good. Landon much prefers Ashlee to take his picture to JC Penney's and was in no mood to cooperate. We can't wait for Ashlee to get her camera fixed.
Our little pink princess

She just had to have these beads and wouldn't put them down for anything over the last few weeks but of course for the picture she refused to wear them and repeatedly threw them away from her. Surprisingly she left the bow in place which she never does.

My little baseball player. He too loved this ball but when it came to the pictures he didn't want to hold it just throw it to me.

And she's off

Just trying on her birthday outfit, we got these beads to go with her tutu and she loves them and refuses to take them off.

I can't believe it but today Sienna took her first steps. She was cruising along the coffee table and then let go, turned to me and took 2 or 3 quick, wobbly steps to me. I wasn't really sure that she had walked but later today with both grandmas present as witnesses she did it again. We are so proud of her and can't wait to get it on video.

What we've been up to

We had a great visit with my cousin Abby and her fiance' Justin. We look forward to him joining our family. The kids loved them and we can't wait to spend more time with them soon.

The twins are eating vegetables really well, yay no more jarred baby food.

Sienna loves to pick out her peas and eat them first and then the carrots. Here she is showing off how good she is getting at signing "Bath". It is so cute when they both sign it after dinner.

Mother's Day

My guys

We had a wonderful Mother's Day. On Saturday night Tanner and I went out for a date night to dinner, a movie (we saw The Backup Plan, I loved the ending :) and to ToysRus. I know it's weird to go on a date to ToysRus but we didn't think we'd have a chance to go again before their birthday so we went and boy did we have fun. They have so many cool toys for kids these days. On Sunday we had a leisurely morning and then went to Boise with our parents and Tanner's Grandparents to the Texas Roadhouse for lunch. I don't know why but we have been going there on Mother's Day for the past 3 years and always have a great time and good food. The kids were great and loved the food. Boy can they pack it away they ate rolls, potato skins, chicken strips, french fries, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, applesauce and Sienna even experimented and was successful at drinking out of a straw. Landon had a great time flirting with the little girl at the table next to us. After lunch we went to Fred Meyer to get some flowers for outside and had to stop by their bakery for a fruit tart. They have the best fruit tarts and even mini ones for the kids. We all enjoyed them. So we had a great day.

Landon's 1st finger painting
Now that he can crawl he is into everything and playing with the cords for my computer is his favorite

He loves his thumb and blankie
Sienna's 1st finger painting

We have been working on getting rid of their bottles and Sienna has taken to the sippy cup pretty well. Landon on the other hand cries as soon as he sees it and often refuses to take it.

Tanner has been working very hard farming and calving and while we know this is his busy time of year we miss him and wish we had more family time. We have been trying to go out and have lunch with him at least once a week and the kids love the farm. We just wish the weather was a little nicer. He has been trying to make some time for cars and his motorcycle but it just hasn't happened yet but we are planning to attend the annual Father's Day car show in downtown Boise to unveil his new car.
I have been busy running after the twins, trying to keep the house in some sort of order, working on the weekends and oh yes growing a person in my free time. The baby is getting bigger by the day it seems and so am I. I feel so much bigger this time and can't imagine how I'm going to continue doing everything I need to do with the twins as I get farther along but I'm sure I'll adapt. The baby is extremely active and while there is only one baby this time it takes full advantage of having my belly all to itself moving and kicking everywhere. We can finally see the kicks from the outside and Tanner is able to feel more movements all the time. That is my favorite part of being pregnant all the kicking. I actually got a break from work last night and didn't have to go in just be on call so we had a quiet night at home, watched a movie and I got some sleep. This morning we went to Grandma and Granpa's and while the twins napped I got to ride my horse. I haven't ridden much in the last 2 years and it was great to get back in the saddle even though it was very windy and we didn't ride that long. I was glad I was able to climb on and that my horse behaved herself.

Landon is 11 Months old

I know it has been a long time since I've updated but that is because we have been having a terrible time with our internet but it seems to be fixed now. So here is what Landon has been doing. He has finally started to crawl, he went from nothing to being pretty darn fast in a few days and we are so proud of him. He still has to have some motivation to get going but once he does he is terrific. He continues to be a sweet, happy baby but has found his voice and loves to hear himself screech and I mean screech and nothing seems to make him stop it is ear piercing and I hope it doesn't last long. He loves to stand and look at himself in the mirror and who could blame him he is so handsome. He too is a great eater and will try anything his new favorite is vanilla pudding. He loves his daddy so much in fact that when Tanner comes home says hi to him and then leaves the room he has a complete meltdown screaming and crying, boy does that make me feel good. Oh well I know he doesn't get to see Tanner that much and he is a daddy's boy Tanner loves it.
my smiley little babseball guy
He continues to love blankies and is not concerned about gender specific colors

he had a great time visiting with daddy and petting the baby calf, another bonding activity for the boys

He is such a great brother, they started having tea parties together this week, I'm sure Sienna will one day play trucks and cars with him but for now she's the boss and gets to pick the games, he loves the songs this teapot plays and crawls right to it

He is desperately trying to pull up on furniture like his sissy but is not too successful yet I give it a week and he'll be an expert too

Sienna is 11 Months old

Sienna will be 11 months tomorrow so here is what she is up to. She is crawling all over the house and getting really good at cruising with her shopping cart. She can almost get it turned around when she runs into walls and can push it from either end. She has heard the phrase no-no so often now that when you say it she shakes her head no, she has the cutest way of tilting her head and smiling when she does it. She has taken to occassionally hitting Landon and now when I see her get the look on her face that she is gonna whack him I say Sienna or no-no and she looks at me, pauses and gives him a kiss instead as if to say "what, all I was gonna do was kiss him". She is so sweet most of the time and loves to give kisses and hugs but we can tell she is gonna be mischevious. She continues to be a great eater but very independent even stealing the spoon out of my hand to feed herself now. She prefers to feed herself finger foods. She has learned to take her clothes off all by herself this week starting with pajama bottoms because they were too long and she kept stepping on them and has moved on to long sleeved shirts. She hates them and often I find her in her crib without a shirt if it has long sleeves, she has also taken to removing it while playing if it annoys her. My favorite new trick of hers is if I expose my belly and pat it she comes over to me and kisses it and I say baby and she smiles and kisses it. I just love it and can't wait to get it on tape.
One of the greatest things about having a daddy that is a farmer is getting to see baby animals. This calf was born this week and was a twin, he wasn't doing too well so Grandpa and Daddy brought him to the shop to feed him and when we took them out lunch they got to see him and pet him. Sienna the baby who loves dogs was not too sure about this mooing animal.
Practicing her standing and showing off her cute skirt

We just got this ride on car and she loves it, she can get off all by herself and is working on getting on
