Sienna is cruisin in style

Sienna had so much fun taking her first supported steps in this walker tonight. Sorry the camera is so shaky I didn't know she was gonna take off like she did.

Lookin cute in some new clothes

Sienna looking cool in her ride
Landon wanted something to play with at Grandma's tonight so Grandma let him play in the cookie cutters soon he was throwing them all over the kitchen and having a blast. I'm glad she let him cause that will never happen at home.

Sienna is doing so well at sitting up she just plays and is doing well reaching for things and not toppling over

Landon is doing better at sitting up on his own, here is supported by the couch but he got this cool ball toy for Christmas that he enjoys playing with and that is good incentive to sit up

Miss Smiley

I just love these matching outfits my Aunt Sally sent them for Christmas they are adorable.

Brushing the twins teeth

So apparently as soon as your kids have teeth and even before that you are supposed to start brushing them, good thing Santa clued us in and brought them their first toothbrushes. So today I decided to give it a try and see what a battle it would be. I thought I would let them play with them first and get used to them and they put them straight in their mouths. Landon has no teeth so I helped him massage his gums a little and he was tolerant but Sienna who has two teeth really seemed to like her two little teeth brushed and was very cooperative. I was very impressed and hope this continues to be so easy.
Sienna and her Tigger toothbrush cause she's such a good bouncer
Landon and his Eeyore toothbrush cause sometimes he's just a little like Eeyore but we love that about him

Landon's Christmas

Landon had a wonderful Christmas, was spoiled rotten and also had more fun with the paper than with any toy but I'm sure he'll change his mind.
My adorable little elf
Stacking rings with Grandma, he is actually pretty good at this

Driving his new car, this is a pretty cool toy it does english and spanish and makes real car noises

Still digging those santas on his feet

On Christmas Eve he was a real ham. Grandma was holding him and I kept going over to him and he would laugh and then just giggle it was so cute.

Sienna at Christmas

Sienna had a wonderful Christmas receiving many wonderful gifts and even though right now she seems to enjoy the paper more than the toys I know she will get a lot of use out of them.
Sienna opening her musical table, once she got the paper started she went to town.
My Mom found this tutu at art in the park and it is so cute. It has a matching ponytail holder so I can't wait for her to have more hair so she can wear it.

Just plain looking cute for Santa
She loves this poppin pals toy and is getting quite good at closing the doors but hasn't figured out how to open them yet

Her first baby doll. I always wanted a cabbage patch when I was little but my mom thought they were ugly and wouldn't let me have one but guess who bought this one for Sienna, that's right my mom. She said she didn't want Sienna to feel like she was missing out. Oh and Ainslee I checked the dolls name on the adoption certificate it is Noemi (that's right Noemi not Naomi)Karissa. Where doe they come up with these?

Sienna's 6 month appointment

So Sienna had her 6 month doctors appointmen yesterday and she did quite well. It always amazes me she has this bubbly personality and is loud and so funny at home but when we go out she is much more reserved and just kind of watches everything. I guess she is more like me. Anyway she weighed 14 lbs 11 oz in the 30% and was 26 inches long the 60th percentile so she is long and skinny. I wish I could say that was like me too :) She had no interest in the paper on the table so no pictures of her but she was very well behaved. Since she has 2 teeth we get to start brushing them I hope Santa gets the memo and leaves her a toothbrush in her stocking. We can start adding some new foods to their diet and since they are such good eaters that should be fun. At her 4 month visit her previous pediatrician thought she had a lazy eye but there was no sign of that yesterday. She also handled her shots quite well and hasn't seemed fazed at all today even continuing her usual jumping in the jumperoo regime. Nurse Val did a great job.
One of the dairymen's wives got the twins these adorable outfits from Gymboree and I especially love her pink fur coat it is satin lined and so soft. It is still a little big so it will fit all winter and I'm so glad.

Landon's 6 month appointment

We took the twins to the doctor yesterday so here are the highlights. Landon weighed 16 lbs 15 oz in the 45%. He was 26 1/2 in long in the 55% . So he is doing well staying at about the 50th percentile. He is still battling eczema but we have started doing a new regime and yesterday he looked pretty good and today he looks great. Landon is in general a pretty spitty baby and yesterday was no exception, poor Tanner had Landon and I don't know how many times he got spit up on but he was a good sport. He had to have a few shots but did really well and we haven't seen a difference in him today, he slept really well which is always great after shots. He is usually so personable at the doctors office and yesterday was no exception. We actually went to a new pediatrician and he was all smiles. His favorite thing was the paper on the exam table he just kept grabbing at it and squeeling and trying to eat it. It was so cute I was glad I brought my camera to capture it. I'm sure the doctor thought I was crazy since he walked in as I was clicking away but when I have the opportunity to take cute pictures I have to take advantage.

Landon all cuddled up on Daddy's lap in his Christmas sweater

I just love this hat and he seems to like wearing it except that it slips into his eyes, but he never complains.

Landon continues to be a drooling mess but has no signs of teeth. He continues to be a very sweet but particular baby and very cuddly. Landon loves when he has characters on the feet of his pants. It took Grandma a few tries to get his pants on the other night because he kept reaching down and grabbing his santas and yanking them off it was pretty funny. The other morning he had spit up on his pants but he found Sienna's santas and was chewing on them and trying to pull them off. It was very cute. When he is napping he always pulls his socks off and chews on them I know it's gross but he always looks so proud of himself I can't help but laugh.
My sweet little guy. I feel guilty for not having as many pictures of him lately but his eczema has been flaring so badly and looks so sore I can't bring myself to capture those moments. But I promise no matter what his eczema looks like on Christmas we will have lots of pictures

Off with my socks

Sienna hates wearing her socks and has discovered how to get them off in a variety of ways but her latest is to jump out of them.
As soon as I put her in the jumperoo she starts working on them and she is quick.
She jumps on one and gets it off and then works on the other

Naughty little girl. I think she likes the way the fluffy carpet feels on her toes.

Two little teeth

After months of non-stop drooling Sienna finally has two little teeth on the bottom. Her right tooth came in first and then a few days later her left one came in. She is very proud of herself and we are proud of her for not being horribly grumpy during the process.
This is what she does everytime I want to see her teeth. It was extremely difficult to get a picture but I finally got one.

Unfortunately this picture is still not that great but right above my thumb you can see her little tooth. It is extremely sharp and I she can get very upset that we don't let her chew on our fingers anymore. I have started to see her eyeing Landon's chunky little arms and fingers.

A sad week at our house

This has been a very hard week at our house. Last Saturday Tanner had to put his dog Drifter to sleep after sustaining injuries he would not be able to recover from. Drifter was a wonderful dog who loved to go to the farm and work all day. What a great companion during long days and nights at work. Our house seems very empty without him and he is truly missed. Then on Thursday my old border collie Morgan had to be put to sleep. She had cancer and during the last 2 weeks it spread throughout her body making her very sick and unable to move easily. I had that dog since 7th grade and had a lot of good memories with her. She was a champion 4-H show dog, delivered 2 litters of puppies and never tired of playing fetch. Although she lived at my parents house still she was still my dog and I miss her terribly. I can not remember a time when I did not have a dog at my house and it is a very strange and a little bit lonely feeling. While we are not interested in getting another dog at this time we look forward to the day when we welcome another 4 legged member into our family.
My sweet sleeping baby. Tanner is such a sweet daddy.
Sienna flashing her smile

I got these mesh bags that they are supposed to be able to eat pieces of fruit out of and they love them. After they have their dinner they scream when I take the bowl away so I started putting cold pieces of peaches or pears in these so they can chew on them. The cold and texture must feel good on their sore gums because they love them and are getting quite good at holding onto them.

More Christmas pictures

We also had some pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids because I thought their backdrops were so cute but I've gotta say it is so much more fun to have Ashlee do the pictures. The kids love her and she is patient and kind and in my opinion takes 10 times better pictures. But here are a few from their photo session.
Doesn't it look like they're fighting over this one present I thought it was mean to give Sienna a present and not Landon but he was too focused on trying to roll over to care.
Landon actually sat up long enough to get a few pictures and I was so proud of him

Sienna gives the best smiles but she found this photographer really annoying so she kept giving her this goofy look like I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry.

I really liked this picture but they cut off the cute North Pole sign, how annoying

A family photo

Christmas photos

Once again Ashlee took the twins pictures and I think they turned out amazing.
I bought this Santa sack at pottery barn and it was the perfect size for them.
Santa brought us the best present of all
All dressed up in their Christmas outfits
Landon giving a rare smile for the camera, I just don't get it he can really give some great smiles but as soon as you break out the camera he just gives this blank stare.

Even though Sienna wasn't in the best of moods that day she still gave us a couple of great pictures.

Landon is 6 months old

Landon is my little monkey, at six months he is very particular he lets you know exactly what he likes and what he doesn't. He loves tv and isn't too particular although his favorites are baby einstein, and country mucic videos including Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Kellie Pickler. He loves to eat and will pull the bottle to his mouth now, he loves squash, sweet potatoes and peas. He hates to lay on his tummy although today he did a good job while watching the train go around the tree. He likes his exersaucer and bouncey seat but his favorite is to be held and cuddled. He is getting better at sitting up and can do a few seconds on his own but really has a meltdown if he falls over. He can grab your hands and pull up to a standing position and loves to dance like this. He is babbling and I swear he says Hi and Yeah I'm trying to get him to say Mama but no luck yet. He is such a sweet baby and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.
A new bath toy, he can really get a hold of these.
An ominous sign, look carefully, this is why we go through so many clothes each day.
