Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving

Just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This time last year we had just found out we were expecting twins and still a little shocked. I can't believe how much our lives have changed in such a short amount of time. We are so thankful for the opportunity to have these two wonderful babies in our lives and can't imagine our lives without them. We are thankful for the love and support our family and friends have shown us this last year and hope they know how much we appreciate them. We are thankful that God has watched over us and brought us health and happiness. Hope this holiday finds you surrounded by family and friends, good food and a nap. (you'll need it if you're planning to brave the weather and the crowds and head out in the wee hours of the morning for Black Friday)

Getting into trouble

Oh my sweet Sienna, I sat her on the couch for a minute while I did something with Landon and when I turned around she had gotten into my pump and was pulling out the tubing and having a great time. I am starting to realize that if we don't get a jump on the babyproofing very soon we are going to be in trouble.
I just love the look on her face when I asked her what whe was doing. I'm sure she would say "nothing Mom I was just sittin' here like you told me to and these things just fell in my lap"

The BIG tub

They seemed to need more room to play than the kitchen sink was allowing and we really wanted to see what they would do if they could play in the bath together so we put both seats in the tub and they really seem to enjoy it. They love to kick at eachothers feet.
With all those toys her favorite is still her fingers
And the rinsing cup, I can't believe how tiny she still looks next to that big cup
The penguin, this is a cute toy I found that you pull the baby penguin and it makes a winding noise and swims back to its mother. The first time I tried to show it to Landon he flung himself backwards and waved his arms and cried. He seems to like it a little better now that he can see it swim in the tub but he's still deciding. She loves to lean forward in her seat and grab at the toys as they float by and he seems content reading his book.

up to no good

When we went in to get Sienna up the other morning much to our surprise she was on her tummy pushing up on her arms looking at us as if to say "and just what the heck happened last night?"
peekingn through the rails she seemed to enjoy her new view

Cereal, Pears, Carrots and Squash

They are getting so good at eating I can't believe it and they have liked everything they have tried so far although squash is by far the favorite for both of them. I have made my own pears, carrots and squash baby food and am going shopping soon to find something new for my adventurous eaters. Thanksgiving should be fun since they'll be able to participate in the feasting.
Landon still hates to have food on his face and is quick to wipe his chin clean. This would be more helpful if he didn't then get his hands into the mess on his bib but it's still cute. His eczema continues to improve and I just love those kissable cheeks.

Sienna continues to be somewhat of a messy eater. I just love this picture because my parents have one of me eating squash looking quite similar at their house when I was just a little older than her.

Sienna's new trick

Sienna has found her toes and she loves them. As soon as her feet are free from her jammies in the morning on the changing table she is grabbing at them. Yesterday I had her sitting up on the couch and I turned around to grab something and when I turned back she had pulled herself into a sitting position and was grabbing her toes. What great incentive to sit up, of course she quickly toppled over to the side but I was still proud of her. She also has 2 tooth buds on the bottom that have recently made their appearance although they don't really seem to be bothering her she is quite drooly.

Go Vandals

So I know this is a little late since the game was last weekend but the twins got all dressed up to support their favorite football team in hopes of bringing them some good luck. Unfortunately even these two cuties couldn't help the Vandals beat BSU but they had fun cheering them on anyway.

Fun with the twins

You can't really tell but Sienna finally has enough hair for a mohawk. I brought her out after her bath the other night to tease Tanner with his rocker baby girl and forgot to comb it back down the next morning it wouldn't lay flat so she was a rockstar all day
The twins favorite new toy it is like a ferris wheel and it plays music they love it but unfortunately I only got one so they have to share, the first toy they seem to fight over I am looking for another one
My friend Amanda came a few days ago and we took the babies to the park because it was such a nice day. Sienna fell asleep before we got there but Landon had fun. Amanda took him on his first ride down the slide and half way down his mouth got big saying ooohhh he seemed to like it
Amanda also took him on the swings which he seemed to enjoy
Just swingin

Landon at 5 months

Landon has finally started to push up when he's on his tummy.
His cheeks have cleared up since his doctor put him on some cream for his eczema they are so soft and fun to kiss again we just love it
Landon is doing quite well with solids but is not a messy eater and is prompt to wipe his own chin if he gets messy
A new toy

Tummy time flashing those amazing blue eyes

Sienna at 5 months

Sienna has been very patient about wearing her hair bows but she is now learning to pull them off and occassionally they attack her. She was sitting there very calmly when I found her so I had to snap a picture.
Sienna is getting quiete good at pushing up during tummy time

My big girl in the tub
I bought her a new book for the bath and she seems to like it
All kicked back, relaxed and reading a story

Halloween

Halloween out on the porch with their pumpkins, yes they are holding hands they love to do that
I just realized as I'm posting this I have no pictures of them on Halloween in their costumes Grandma must have all those pictures on her camera so I will have to get those from her.
Tanner came home the night before Halloween and said he'd been thinking about what to carve in their pumpkins all day and this is what he came up with. aren't they cute?
They are getting so good at eating their cereal now that I decided to try them in their high chairs. They love them and will even sit in there and visit with me while I make dinner or do dishes. I just love that.

What we've been up to

Sienna smiling in the jumperoo
Sienna also loves the jumperoo and even though only her tippy toes touch she can catch some air

Sienna loves this new teething ring and makes quite the slobbery mess
Sweet sleeping Landon snuggling his blankie
Sienna also loves her new bath seat and is getting quite good at splashing Mommy

Landon loves this jumperoo we borrowed from Clint and Ainslee (thanks for sharing Carlee)

The twins have outgrown their baby spa and after searching all over for seats for the tub I finally found two for now though we are using the kitchen sink and they love it.

Landon loving his daddy

They are getting much better at eating their cereal of course Miss Independent has to be in control of the spoon already so it can get a little messy but oh well

BOO at the ZOO

I know it's been a while since I've updated but that is because our internet has been giving us trouble and only letting us get on for a few minutes at a time and forget trying to upload anything but we've got it figured out now so here is what has been happening here. The Saturday before Halloween we went to Boo at the Zoo in Boise. The babies wore their costumes and were very well behaved. It was a beautiful day and we had a great family day.Our sweet little pumpkin
