Double Trouble

Yesterday I was trying to multi-task and feed them lunch while talking on the phone they took full advantage of the situation and got extra messy. So messy that I had to strip them down to their diapers in the kitchen give them a quick sponge bath and then move them to the living room so I could clean up the kitchen at least they had fun being naked for a few minutes.
Trying to grab the camera
Her favorite toy right now I think because it has so many fun parts to chew on oh and it lights up and plays music

That's right Landon's favorite toy is an orange mixing bowl. He entertains himself all day by putting different toys in and taking them out banging on it with different objects and spinning balls on the top or throwing them in. Who knew when we bought all their toys that his favorite would be a bowl it just confirms that he is going to love to cook.

He even loves to play peekaboo with it

Sienna

Lookin cute in their matching jammies
Her hair is getting so long and wavy. She has some really wild hair when she wakes up and there is nothing I can do to tame it. You can see she loves to show off her bottom teeth and yesterday I found that both top teeth have come through. She is such a trooper never complained a bit.
She loves to stand at her musical table. Great Grandma Mayne got them this for Christmas and we finally put it together for them.
She still hasn't quite figured out the crawling thing but she can sure get around the living room. She has figured out the vent blows warm air and she likes to lay on it and feel the wind in her face.

I was taking pictures of Landon and she decided she needed to climb me and get in the shot, but it still turned out cute even though it was of the wrong baby.

Landon

I can't believe how long his hair is getting and so much fun to style. We are still amazed that he has this stick straight hair we don't know where he gets that from.
He loves his blankie
I hope he treats his new baby brother or sister a little nicer

He has been a horrible napper lately until I bring him out on the couch and cuddle him and then he falls right to sleep
Landon's mohawk it is so cute on him and it stays till you wash it next
His face has started to clear up more I think it's the warmer weather but we'll see since it snowed today

Our new little peanut update

Our new little peanut is growing well we have had 3 ultrasounds in the last week. The first was for a nuchal fold test which screens for downs syndrome, neural tube defects and other problems so far this baby seems perfectly healthy. The other ultrasounds were for some unexplained bleeding I was having and yesterday they figured out the cause. It seems for now I have a placenta previa which means that my placenta has implanted over my cervix. It is still early in the pregnancy so it could move up which is what we are hoping for but if not I will be at risk for bleeding during this pregnancy and preterm delivery so for now all we can do is take it easy and see what happens in the next few weeks. The good thing is that this baby is super fun to watch on ultrasound always bouncing around (I guess the extra room makes that possible) and thumb sucking.

Baby #3

That's right we are expecting baby number 3. We are truly thrilled. We are due September 3, 2010 and will probably have a scheduled c-section the last week in August as long as this baby and my body cooperate. We know that having all three kids so close in age will present certain challenges but know that there will be lots of fun as well. We have decided to keep the baby's gender a surprise this time since we already have everything for a boy or a girl. Since I have the capability of looking at the baby via ultrasound at work anytime this may be more challenging as time goes on but I really think it will be a fun surprise that we will cherish forever. Tanner does not share the same excitement about not finding out the gender so I'm hoping he will come around. Since we had such a difficult time coming up with names for the twins we will be trying to narrow our list down sooner this time and any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Happy 1st Valentine's Day

On Sunday we celebrated the twins first Valentine's Day. We had a pretty quiet day at home Tanner bought them these adorable little stuffed dogs that they think are so fun. They got to try pasta for the first time, they love feeding themselves so it was a real treat. We went out for ice cream in the late afternoon and attempted to install some new carseats so they will have a more comfortable ride in the car. They were of course spoiled by both sets of Grandparents.
Just looking cute before we went out for ice cream

Landon is 8 months

Landon has now turned 8 months old and is growing like crazy he has the most adorable little rollie arms and legs. He still has no real interest in crawling though we have seen him grab a handful of carpet in each hand and pull himself towards a toy so I guess that is a start. He gets better at sitting every day and is actually tolerating laying on his tummy for a few minutes at a time occassionally turning on to his tummy on his own. He loves to smile and is learning to clap. He loves the word Mama and laughs everytime but still won't say it. We are working on some sign language and while Sienna has no interest he can say milk and more of course he figured out the food signs first. He loves songs and being tickled. He is a great eater and getting better at self feeding cheerios everyday. He continues to be a good sleeper and while he could take some longer naps I'm still convinced he wakes up early just to have some quiet cuddle time alone with Mom. He loves the water and makes a real mess with bathtime. We are so lucky to have such a sweet good natured little guy he is such a joy in our lives.
This week we were asked to go to a class in Boise to talk to parents expecting twins and tell them what they were getting in to . We took the babies and they were so well behaved and happy, even letting others hold them. It was fun to see how far we've come from being those first time expecting parents with no clue as to what was coming to being the confident parents telling others that they too can do this and that it is the most fun and rewarding experience.
Landon getting messy at dinner but what a cute little face
He loves to reach for the camera when you try to take his picture
Looking thrilled after getting man kisses from Sienna, she looks a little irritated that he is not more appreciative.

After much thought we have decided to put our house on the market as it is feeling smaller by the day and the twins really need more room to play. What a pain it is to try to keep our house looking neat and clean all the time. I feel so bad many of their toys are in storage now and we don't let them keep the big toys out all the time but they don't seem to mind. It is also nice to have a clean house most of the time and since going through all our cabinets and closets we were able to get rid of a lot of stuff we don't use which will make moving easier. We know this is a horrible time to try to sell a house but since it is a good time to buy we are hoping to do ok, time will tell.

Sienna is 8 months

Sienna is now 8 months old and quite the little lady. She loves to give kisses especially to Landon and Mommy and they are the sweetest sloppiest kisses ever. I never knew I would love being drooled on this much. Landon doesn't seem quite as enthusiastic. She is still trying to get the crawling thing down and is getting more frustrated by the day. Her new tactic is to push up on her hands and feet forming a V and then quickly pull her knees up under her she still hasn't made an attempt to move the hands forward but she can move around the room backwards. She has discovered toy stealing and as soon as she sees a toy that she wants, usually one Landon has she grabs it away from him. She has also learned that if she gets a good grip on his bib she can pull him over, poor boy. I know it sounds like she beats up on him but she does truly love him. She is also working on pulling up and as soon as you sit down on the floor to play with her she reaches for you to grab your hands or clothes to pull up to standing. I guess she figures if the crawling thing isn't going to work out she can just focus on walking. She is still an awesome eater really liking cheerios and small pieces of fruit cut up and anything else we give her. She still sleeps well and is an extremely happy baby we are so lucky to have her in our lives. I almost forgot she is getting another tooth. The top left one is poking through and it looks like the right is not far behind. She is such a trooper I never even would have known she was teething except I happened to catch a glimpse of it when she was laughing. Poor Landon doesn't stand a chance now he still has no prospects and she continues to eye his little arms thinking they look quite fun to chew on.
Showing off her new outfit and headband for Valentines Day

Not only do the twins enjoy helping to fold laundry now I'm working on getting them to help with hanging up the clothes. Sienna finds the hangers to be quite fun and pulling the clothes off the hangers even more fun.

She is working on pulling herself up and though I don't think the exersaucer is quite stable enough for her to be practicing on she finds it quite fun. She almost got it just needed to get that other foot out from under her.

Trying to pull up.
